You can go to work each day and do everything by the book. You can be a perfect scientist and be clinically faultless. You can be civil and punctual and thorough and conscientious – those all go a very long way. You can do all this and still be miserable and unfulfilled.
Or you can be an artist.
Hugh has been working in clinical veterinary practice for over 15 years and is still learning every day. Much of what he’s learnt is about people, not least of them himself: about how we think and how we communicate and how those things determine our outcomes. He is learning that the more we give the more we get, and that ‘more’ does not necessarily refer to money. He’s learning about balance, fulfilment and purpose.
This blog aims to document some of those lessons.
